As promised, I wanted to share with you my experience after following Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion for these last two weeks. I’m pleased to say that I’ve lost 2 lbs so far. I know that doesn’t sound like much, but for me I’m celebrating every pound that I lose. Not only have I started to lose weight, but my mindset about traditional diet rules and eating has changed. I am more positive about the process and motivated to follow the program because it actually lets you know when and what you CAN eat instead of just lots of restrictions. I also have more energy, I started a new workout program at home and my jeans fit a lot better.

There were many things that I loved about Always Eat After 7PM. First and foremost, Joel Marion made his program and the reasoning behind it understandable. Even though he cited research and used scientific words, he explained it all in layman’s terms and gave lots of examples. He spelled out the three phases of his program clearly, provided food lists and easy-to-follow meal plans for all the phases. My favorite part? The recipes in the back of the book. I’ve tried a bunch already and I must say they were super yummy and not difficult to prepare at all, even for a person like me who’s not the best cook. Here are a few of my favorites so far: Cheesy Ground Beef Skillet and No Bake Salted Caramel Bar.

I mean c’mon, does this look like I’m on a diet? I’m the type of person that likes to eat a little dessert after every meal and I also have a sweet tooth. I’m telling you that you won’t feel deprived on this program. We’ve been traditionally taught to avoid carbs, have an early dinner, and never eat before bed. But the fact is, the latest scientific research shows us this earlier model is not the most ideal. Giving myself permission to eat a tasty dinner, enjoy a dessert and have a pre-bedtime snack has been life-changing. I don’t feel guilty or put myself down anymore. The most challenging times to curb hunger are just before bed and in the morning. By following the Always Eat After 7PM program, you have the most willpower to stay on the diet because you are eating during the hours when you are most hungry. This also puts you into both intermittent fasting increasing testosterone and your metabolism, while putting you into ketosis. Joel Marion says that:

“Late-night eating also curbs calorie intake the next day. In a four-week study, dieters added a snack to their daily regimen 90 minutes after dinner every night, and check this out: late-night eaters ate an average of 397 fewer calories per day.”

Check out some of Joel’s favorite recipes and snacks. I’m sure your mouth will water!
